Dr. Osama Nahas earned his M.D. degree in 1980 from the Medical School of Damascus, Syria. After moving to the United States in 1984, he studied at the School of Public Health, University of Texas, in Houston, Texas, where he earned a Master's degree in public health in the field of occupational health.
In 1989, he started his residency training in internal medicine at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield, New Jersey. Later, he joined the Combined Residency Program in Internal Medicine and Occupational Medicine at Cook County Hospital, in Chicago, Illinois. After residency training, he worked at occupational medicine clinics in Chicago, Illinois, and later in Houston, Texas.
In 1996, he received his board certification in occupational medicine from the American Board of Preventive Medicine, and in 1997, he received his board certification in internal medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine, and started his private practice in Pasadena, Texas. In 2002, he moved his practice to Edinburg, Texas.
